Waste Management ♻

Waste management is an important aspect of all businesses. Not only does commercial waste management have an impact on the environment, but it is also the responsibility of all businesses in the UK to abide by the government’s duty of care – ensuring that businesses dispose of waste in a responsible and proper manner.

This duty is imposed by the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (section 33). It is therefore important that all businesses have waste collected by a contracted and approved waste carrier. A breach of this duty of care can cost a business up to £20,000 in a single fine.

Our editorial team are dedicated to bringing you the latest business waste management news, cutting insights and commentary and best practice tips and advice.

Our articles cover all aspects of business, commercial and industrial waste varying from bar and restaurant waste management to hazardous waste, electrical waste and liquid waste removal. Below you will find a selection of all our current articles, however if you are looking for a specific topic, please look to the right of the page.
