Waste disposal is the name given to the collection, transportation and eventual disposal of both commercial and domestic waste. It refers to the material that is produced through human being activity and business activity. The material is managed and disposed of in order to avoid any adverse affects to human health and the environment. Through recycling, waste is managed in such a way that further resources can be gained from it, this includes waste in all states (liquid, solid and gas).
Waste disposal methods vary depending on the nature of the waste and the material in question, some materials are much more stringently regulated than others, such as clinical waste and radioactive waste). Disposal methods also differ depending on the environment and the authority placed in charge.
